We thank you for the opportunity to do business with you and look forward to sending you a great quality guitar. If you purchase an immediately available guitar the entire amount, including insurance, shipping and handling, is due before the guitar is sent to you.
All custom orders require a minimum, non-refundable $1050 down payment before put into the production schedule. This $1050 deposit that you send to us is your purchase agreement. We take your order for a Pederson Custom (formerly Abyss) guitar seriously and immediately purchase or set aside materials to guarantee availability for your guitar. Also, your neck blank is started and glued up almost immediately so that it can season over the course of the build. We will send you an invoice and a work order sheet once we receive the deposit. On the order sheet you will see what we have talked about and what you have requested to be built into your guitar. This purchase agreement is to ensure you get what you order.
The non-refundable deposit can be paid with a money order, cashiers check, bank debit card, MasterCard or Visa. We will accept a personal check, but it will need to clear at the bank before any work is started or any guitars are sent out. This may take 7 – 10 days. There is a 5% service fee added to all credit card, debit and bank card usage. All forms of payment are in US dollars. All forms of payment have to clear.

Your deposit secures you a place in the production schedule and guarantees your materials once selected. The wait is 6–9 months for Standard Guitars, and up to 12 months for an archtop, Limited Edition or acoustic guitar. Factors that determine these time frames include current orders, inlay on the guitar, availability of certain materials and how quickly you pay off the balance.
A 5% TRANSACTION FEE IS ADDED TO ALL CREDIT CARD, CHECKCARDS OR PAYPAL TRANSACTIONS, WITH EACH TRANSACTION (OR PAYMENT). THERE IS A MINIMUM $1050 NON-REFUNDABLE POLICY ON THE INITIAL PURCHASE AGREEMENT DEPOSIT. WHEN YOU PUT YOUR $1050 DOWN, YOU ARE ENTERING THIS PURCHASE AGREEMENT. THIS IS A CUSTOM DESIGNED GUITAR MADE TO YOUR SPECIFICATIONS AND ALL SALES ARE FINAL AND NON-REFUNDABLE. Please note that new guitars created after March 2008 will bear the Pederson Custom Guitars logo. Models created prior to March 2008 feature the Abyss Guitar Company logo.
You will receive a work order and receipt detailing the specifications for your guitar, not all of which need to be known at the time of your deposit. All guitars with custom inlay must be paid in full before inlay is completed. The balance on all guitars must be paid before the guitar is shipped. Guitars are packed well and shipped via UPS.
It is also possible that I can deliver the instrument to you if I am going to be traveling to a guitar show near you. Arrangements should be made soon after the initial deposit is made. Your state sales tax may apply.
For guitars exported from the United States, you will be responsible for all the import duties and taxes your country may levy. The full amount will be claimed when shipping overseas or to Canada, and the guitar will be fully insured.
